The KM4City Ecosystem is a complete, open-source, modern data solution for smart cities. The ecosystem is implemented using data from 33 cities and regions across Europe and supports many smart city dashboards and applications. This includes mobile applications accessible to both the public agencies and the general public. The KM4City ecosystem is centered around an open smart city ontology that integrates and manages the various datasets common to smart cities projects. 1 The KM4City ecosystem also includes the KM4City Smart City Engine, which collects multiple data flows related to smart city management, conducts various big data analytics on the collected data, and produces visual analytics dashboards and maps for city operators and other decision makers. Much of the available schemas, diagrams, and other documentation surrounding this software could serve as a roadmap for smart cities that seek to develop their own data feeds and visualizations. 2
